Writing for Warner Bros. as a Blu-ray Elite Team Member was pretty cool, still is, and definitely a shining highlight of 2012 thus far. IMAX Hubble (2011) Blu-ray

In order to fully appreciate this movie it’s important to check your expectations at the door, relax and think of this movie as a little adventure for the junior astronomer inside you, for the universe enthusiast and Star Trek junkie you don’t admit to but can’t deny. This doesn’t mean you have to own a telescope or harbor a deep down appreciation for Tribbles, teleporters and tight tunics on your Sci-Fi action heroes, but it’s helpful if you take an active participation in the experience. Contagion (2011) Blu-ray

Contagion is hardly the stuff of escapist joy or simple entertainment. Obsessed with clinical detail and distracted by stoic responsibility, Soderbergh robs the film of immediacy and makes intimacy a matter of geography instead of the result of meaningful relationships.
